Ponerology: The Science of Evil Now Available!Preface to the book Political Ponerology: The Science of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes by Laura Knight-Jadczyk Political Ponerology, by Dr. Andrew M. Lobaczewski, may be the most important book you will ever read; in fact, it WILL be. No matter who you are, what your status in life, what your age or sex or nationality or ethnic background, you will, at some point in your life, feel the touch or relentless grip of the cold hand of Evil. Bad things happen to good people, that's a fact. ~ Read More ~ - Order your copy now! - Flat Daddies and Bronze Poo - Something Is Rotten In The State Of America When attempting to take the pulse of a nation, look no further than popular culture, family and politics, they say. Well, a quick look at these areas of American life gives a diagnosis of either clinically insane or clinically dead. Weekly Report: On Israeli Human Rights Violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Escalate Attacks on Palestinian Civilians and Property in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) Read on for the full details of Israeli brutality against Palestinians in just one week. The Most Important Book You'll Ever Read In Europe during the years immediately before and after World War II the name of Douglas Reed was on everyone's lips; his books were being sold by scores of thousand, and he was known with intimate familiarity throughout the English-speaking world by a vast army of readers and admirers. Former London Times correspondent in Central Europe, he had won great fame with books like Insanity Fair, Disgrace Abounding, Lest We Regret, Somewhere South of Suez, Far and Wide and several others, each amplifying a hundredfold the scope available to him as one of the world's leading foreign correspondents. Gaza's darkness Gaza has been reoccupied. The world must know this and Israelis must know it, too. It is in its worst condition, ever. Since the abduction of Gilad Shalit, and more so since the outbreak of the Lebanon war, the Israel Defense Forces has been rampaging through Gaza - there's no other word to describe it - killing and demolishing, bombing and shelling, indiscriminately. I Am Angry I am a 51-year-old woman. I have been married to the same man since 1976. I am the secretary/office manager for a small legal firm in the D.C. suburbs. My husband manages a wine and spirits store. I have two sons, aged 26 and 22. After realizing it wasn’t possible to support themselves and the government at the same time, both returned to the nuclear nest. Along with most people in my economic situation, I believe I am living what is supposed to be the American dream. I know why I am an angry American. I am frightened because America isn't the same country it was when I was my children's age. Allow me to share with you some of the reasons why I am an angry American. The End of Eden James Lovelock Says This Time We've Pushed the Earth Too Far. "Our global furnace is out of control. By 2020, 2025, you will be able to sail a sailboat to the North Pole. The Amazon will become a desert, and the forests of Siberia will burn and release more methane and plagues will return." "There's no realization of how quickly and irreversibly the planet is changing," Lovelock says. "Maybe 200 million people will migrate close to the Arctic and survive this. Even if we took extraordinary steps, it would take the world 1,000 years to recover." Michael Coren and the "Limited Pain" of Nuking Iran Michael Coren, a sort of spin-off on the lunatic Michael "Savage" Weiner, the beatnik fascist hate radio host, demands the United States nuke Iran immediately. "Put boldly and simply, we have to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran," argues Coren in the Toronto Sun. Doing the unspeakable-or, that is to say, the unspeakable for normal, sane people not afflicted with murderous psychopathy-requires "a basic understanding of history, politics and the nature of fascism." Empire - A Tribe on Steroids Inside the belly of the beast can the harbinger of what is to come be seen, for the internal machinations of the Pax Americana have become rusted and decrepit, its lifeblood infected and diseased by the spoils of its conquests and the narcissism of its hubris. In pursuit of unmatched wealth and power its internal organs have been infected by the malignancies of greed, arrogance and corruption, spreading from coast to coast, a haze of barrenness infiltrating every city and every town, afflicting a society 300 million strong, slowly yet invariably eroding the foundations of an Empire on fast-forward time, as if America's domination has been accelerated, her reign compressed and her demise made absolute. The Next Phase of the Middle East War Israel's war on Lebanon is an integral part of a US sponsored "military roadmap". The war on Lebanon, which has resulted in countless atrocities including the destruction of the nation's economy and civilian infrastructure, is "a stage" in a sequence of carefully planned military operations. For a Productive New Approach in the Middle East Can you have a miltarily 'occupied democracy'? To ask the question is to answer it. When a foreign army occupies a country by force, the population cannot be in control of its destiny, whatever the language spoken by the local puppet government. -This is an oxymoron. That is the reason there could never be democracy in occupied Iraq or in occupied Afghanistan. It is only, if ever, when foreign troops leave or are kicked out that the national government in these lands can regain its legitimacy and authority. Will Russia Stop the War? Israel and the US, the terrible Siamese twins conjoined by their Jewish communities, are on the warpath. The usually knowledgeable Uzi Mahanaimi wrote in the Sunday Times that the plans have been laid out, and preparations are being completed for the resumption of the war on Syria and Iran temporarily stopped by the Hezbullah fighters in the mountains of Southern Lebanon. President Bush hopes to improve his sagging popularity by the war, says Alex Cockburn. A condemnation of Iran by the Security Council is all he needs before the attack at dawn. Until now, such resolutions were produced after a short period of haggling. Now there is a chance Russia will use its veto, and then the US plans would be shelved and the assault on Iran cancelled. The Bogeyman Industry "For as children tremble and fear everything in the blind darkness, so we in the light sometimes fear what is no more to be feared than the things children in the dark hold in terror and imagine will come true." ~ Lucretius When I was a small child, I delighted in scaring my two younger sisters with specters dreamed up by me with the help of radio broadcasts. My mind was a bottomless well of monsters, hobgoblins, and - scariest of all - those amorphous demons whose lack of clarity in shape made them all the more terrifying. I was a Ziegfeld of theatrical production, with sound effects produced by my ghostly vocalizing, the pounding on walls, or the scratching of my fingernails on a door; while my special effects took the form of crawling beneath their beds at night and kicking the bedsprings. The script was nothing special, it being sufficient that the acting would generate the desired screams. "Palestinians will never surrender" The Palestinians voted massively in favour of Hamas in the elections in January 2006. It was necessary to respect their choice. However, the European Union decided to punish them by ending grants, consciously putting millions of Palestinians in misery. The victory of Hamas caught not only those governments that had counted on a Fatah victory but also those parties and progressive movements who have never really listened to Palestinian opinion or heard their true aspirations. In the face of the desparation of the Palestinian people, it is more urgent than ever to listen to those Palestinians faithful to their cause and to draw the appropriate conclusions. Mr Sattar Kassem, professor of Political Science at Al Najah University in Nablus, responded with frankness and courage to the questions asked of him by Silvia Cattori. War Stories Hundreds of men and women walk over the rubble, carrying the coffins of 19 martyrs. Black clothes, tears and ululations. I stood to the side of the road observing the scene. I'm saying, 'to the side of the road', when it wasn't a road. I'm saying 'the scene' when it wasn't a scene. How to narrate feelings that have no name? When I went into the village of Aita Ashaab I couldn't believe my eyes. There was the name but no village. Nothing but a great ruin blocking the horizon. All the houses demolished, walls leaning on emptiness, emptiness leaning on dust. 9-11; the "unifying myth" for the war on terror To a large extent, the war on terror is a shabby promotional scheme designed to mobilize the nation for a permanent state of war while curtailing civil liberties. There's nothing original in this analysis, but it does explain the importance of media as a vehicle for Bush's public relations campaign. It also explains why high-ranking officials in the administration are still provided unlimited air-time to reiterate the same bland bromides over and over again without being challenged. When assumption trumps objectivity After four weeks of devastating Israeli air raids across Lebanon, American news network NBC began its Nightly News bulletin with its anchorman, Brian Williams, asking: "Does the US really have any influence in this war?" Hours earlier on sister network MSNBC, anchorwoman Chris Jansing seemed to be at a similar loss. "Can anything be done to stop the violence?" she asked. But to an American audience, the thought of a Syrian or Iranian news anchor posing the same questions would be fit for a comedy skit. Kurt Sonnenfeld - FEMA's WhistleBlower? As a contract employee for FEMA's Colorado regional branch, 35 year old Kurt Sonnenfeld was dispatched to videotape and photograph the rescue and recovery effort at ground zero in the weeks after the 9/11 attacks. There was no restriction on what Sonnenfeld could film and no documents were signed by him that passed ownership of the footage to FEMA. According to the TVtechnology website, Sonnenfeld was FEMA's Denver-based Region 8 Public Affairs Officer and he worked the site as one of only four FEMA photographers along with FEMA's Denver-based Region 8 Deputy Public Affairs officer Jim Chestnutt... A Pathocrat Speaks His Mind It is our hypothesis, backed by the work of Andrew Lobaczewski and our own research, that the people in power on our planet have plans to kill off a large portion of the world's population. The psychopaths, those human-looking predators without conscience, have no love for the rest of humanity. It is a life and death struggle between them and us because they know that if the true nature of their existence as humanity's natural predator ever come to light, they would lose everything. Two Axioms of 9/11 We seek truth because injustice and wickedness have been perpetrated against us and against those now deceased. We seek truth because to millions of people, the official story just does not add up. We seek truth and justice because to ignore the obvious would be to enslave ourselves to power, yet again, sacrificing the freedoms of our future for the comfort of our beautiful and precious minds. In truth we seek freedom, in freedom we seek a life free from the chains of bondage. In numbers we find strength, in strength we find people power. Our numbers will continue to expand, our power will continue to grow. The human quest for truth is never ending, it cannot be suppressed for long. The inevitability of our momentum and the exponential growth of our movement will make sure that sooner or later, the truth sets the world free. Kill Arabs, Cry Anti-Semitism A central thesis of my book Beyond Chutzpah is that whenever Israel faces a public relations debacle its apologists sound the alarm that a "new anti-Semitism" is upon us. So, predictably, just after Israel faced another image problem due to its murderous destruction of Lebanon, a British all-party parliamentary group led by notorious Israel-firster Denis MacShane MP (Labor) released yet another report alleging a resurgence of anti-Semitism (Report of the All-Party Parliamentary Inquiry Into Antisemitism, September 2006). To judge by the witnesses (David Cesarani, Lord Janner, Oona King, Emanuele Ottolenghi, Melanie Phillips) and sources (MEMRI, Holocaust Education Trust) cited in the body of the report, much time and money could have been saved had it just been contracted out to the Israel Foreign Ministry. (The report's statement that "we received no evidence of the accusation of anti-Semitism being misused by mainstream British Jewish community organizations and leaders" perhaps speaks more to the selection of the witnesses than the reality.) The Right To Return, a Basic Right Still Denied - Palestinian refugees represent the longest suffering and largest refugee population in the world today. - In 2005, there were approximately 7.2 million Palestinian refugees, equivalent to 74% of the entire Palestinian population which is estimated at 9.7 million worldwide. - The breakdown of the refugee population is as follows: Meanwhile in Baghdad... I've recently received several emails from Iraq. Some, like the first, have been sent to me from people I know. Others were passed on by my friend Gerri Haynes, who receives emails regularly from friends she made during her several trips to Iraq. I include them here, as the brunt of this piece, because they show the living hell that Iraq has become under US occupation. Time and Mr. Ahmadinejad Time magazine went to Cuba and met with Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And while they were willing to print the man's words, they made sure that Time correspondent Scott Macleod put them in "context". In the case of Ahmadinejad, that means painting him as a crafty war-mongerer. Never-mind that Iran is fully within its rights as a signer of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to develop its nuclear industry. Never-mind that the United States of Pathocratic Corruption has singled Iran out, alone, as the target of its ire, while Brazil and India have proceeded apace with their own development. Ahmadinejad: Zionists different from Jews In an interview with Time Magazine, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proposed that the five million Palestinian refugees scattered around the world be allowed to return to historic Palestine to take part in a referendum, in which Jews would participate, to determine a system of government for both people. "Our position toward the Palestinian question is clear: We say that a nation has been displaced from its own land. Palestinian people are killed in their own lands, by those who are not original inhabitants, and they have come from far areas of the world and have occupied those homes. Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder - A Glimpse Into Israeli Collective Psychosis While many may find it heartening or amusing that even an Israeli right winger cannot see a ray of light at the end of the Zionist tunnel, it is rather disconcerting to read that Israelis are already seriously contemplating their next Shoah. I would argue here that it is exactly this form of deadly meditation that turns Israel, Israelis, global Zionists and Neocons into the gravest enemies of world peace. Bush Demands Lebanese Commit Suicide Hassan Nasrallah understands what will
happen to the people of Lebanon if Hezbollah disarms. In 1982, when
Israel invaded Lebanon, 20,000 Palestinians and Lebanese were
slaughtered and 400,000 were made homeless. "The tonnages dropped on
Beirut alone surpassed those of the atomic bomb which devastated
Hiroshima. Schools and hospitals were particularly targeted," writes Ralph Schoenman,
who experienced the carnage firsthand. "Virtually all rolling stock and
heavy equipment from Lebanese factories were looted and taken to
Israel... The citrus and olive production of Lebanon south of Beirut
was destroyed. The Lebanese economy, whose exports had competed with
Israel's, became moribund." Pope Benedict and Western Christendom's jihad: "Better the Sultan's turban than the Cardinal's hat" Apart from the sinister decision to launch an attack on Islam at this moment in history when the supreme question of war or peace hangs in the balance, there is a rather bizarre aspect to this whole affair viz the curious decision to quote a Byzantine emperor's views on Islam. 9/11 Conspiracy Doodles Roosevelt was a doodler, so was LBJ,
Nixon and a host of other presidents. So says the author of a new book "Presidential Doodles", an analysis the scribblings of various
American presidents in an attempt to plumb the depths of their often
depraved psyches. "Just as our dreams and little Freudian slips can
mean something about us, doodles can be indicative of the person and
issues and things that he is dealing with" according to the editor in
chief of the book's publisher, Perseus
Books. Hugo Chavez's New World Vision After agreeing to supply discounted oil to the richest city in Europe - London - to help its low income residents use the city's buses at a reduced cost after earlier providing discounted heating oil for the poor in several northeastern US cities including its richest one - New York, Hugo Chavez is at it again. This time he offered to aid the US oil and cash-rich state of Alaska by providing an even greater benefit - free or subsidized heating oil. In the richest, most powerful country in the world, federal, state and local governments continue to provide fewer essential services to their citizens most in need like helping them stay warm in winter when they can't afford to do it on their own. The result is many of them don't and some die as a result. All the world's a stage: Interview with Michael Frayn When Michael Frayn was a child, the other children nicknamed him "the scientist". He wasn't, of course. Just a bright little boy with glasses, who eventually became a successful novelist and playwright. In his writing he worries a lot about who we are, how we understand the world, and how subjectivity lies at the heart of everything - the tricky stuff that science and scientists also grapple with. His latest book, he tells Liz Else, attempts to deal with many of these issues head-on, asking, for example, what the universe would look like if humans didn't exist. Zionism And The Iranian President As you are all well aware, the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, wants to destroy all Jews and the Jewish state with them. Like all good anti-Semites, he loathes Jews simply because they are Jews, and breathlessly awaits the day when Iran has the capacity to implement the 'final solution', once and for all. Or so you have been led to believe by the US, Israeli and British governments... John Stadtmiller Hires New Disinfo Artist A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and the same applies to a radio network. John Stadtmiller at RBN could be building a dynamite force down there in Texas which could conceivably pose a serious challenge to the mainstream media's lie machine. And, considering how GCN has been so disgraced with hosts such as mentally ill Alex Jones and another creep who harbors sexual degenerates and drug dealers on his website, RBN could really outshine its "supposed" competition. Yet Stadtmiller keeps shooting himself in the foot by hiring blatant disinformation specialists. Last year it was Greg Szymanski - a guy who has been so discredited that he's in the same league as Tom Flocco and the Ghost Troops. Why do you think he no longer writes for the American Free Press? Because they caught onto his ruse, as did so many others. On top of that, Szymanski was boring as hell. [If anyone suffered from insomnia, all they had to do was listen to this guy for ten minutes and it was guaranteed they'd be asleep before the first commercial.] At least John had the sense to dump this cretin. U.S. gets 'Sovietized' In the late 1980s, I was the first western journalist allowed into the world's most dreaded prison, Moscow's sinister Lubyanka. Muscovites dared not even utter the name of KGB's headquarters, calling it instead after a nearby toy store, "Detsky Mir." Prisoners taken in the dead of night to Lubyanka were systematically beaten for days with rubber hoses and clubs. There were special cold rooms where prisoners could be frozen to near death. Sleep deprivation was a favourite and most effective Cheka technique. So was near-drowning in water fouled with urine and feces. We have seen America's president and vice president, sworn to uphold the Constitution, advocating some of the same interrogation techniques the KGB used at the Lubyanka. They apparently believe beating, freezing, sleep deprivation and near-drowning are necessary to prevent terrorist attacks. So did Stalin. Afghanistan: The Other Lost War In his important new book Freedom Next Time, dealing with "empire, its facades and the enduring struggle of people for their freedom," John Pilger has a chapter on Afghanistan. In it he says that "Through all the humanitarian crises in living memory, no country has been abused and suffered more, and none has been helped less than Afghanistan." He goes on to describe what he sees as something more like a moonscape than a functioning nation. In the capitol, Kabul, there are "contours of rubble rather than streets, where people live in collapsed buildings, like earthquake victims waiting for rescue....(with) no light or heat." It seems like it's always been that way for these beleaguered people who've had a long history of conflict and suffering with little relief. Murdering Children - Israel's Domestic Policy In the past 8 weeks alone, the Zionist government of Israel and it's military aparatus have murdered 228 Palestinians, 37 of them children. Almost all of these children's names have been completely excluded from Western media reports, while at the same time, almost everyone knows the name of the single Israeli soldier whose capture ( allegedly by Palestinian militants) in June was used by the Israeli government to attack Lebanon and murder 1300 civilians. Remembering Gaza beach - how it all started A heart-wrenching, blood-drenched reminder of what our Zionist-controlled mainstream media wants you to forever forget - how this whole bloody fiasco started in Gaza. Israelis deliberately fired several rounds of shells onto a crowded beach ripping to pieces this 12 year old girl's entire family before her very eyes.
US, Israeli Armies Plan Ethnic Cleansing Of Middle East In a little-noted article printed in early August in the Armed Forces Journal, a monthly magazine for officers and leaders in the United States military community, early retired Major Ralph Peters sets out the latest ideas in current US strategic thinking. And they are extremely disturbing. Ethnically Cleansing the Entire Middle East - Maj. Peters, formerly assigned to the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence where he was responsible for future warfare, candidly outlines how the map of the Middle East should be fundamentally re-drawn, in a new imperial endeavor designed to correct past errors. "Without such major boundary revisions, we shall never see a more peaceful Middle East," he observes, but then adds wryly: "Oh, and one other dirty little secret from 5,000 years of history: Ethnic cleansing works." First Time Released Documents Expose Subservient Congress - "National Security" Converts the United States into a Monarchy National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC) has obtained documents revealing that to date the Executive Branch has refused congressional requests to be briefed on illegal black operations conducted by the NSA, and has denied these representatives access to relevant witnesses and documents. SCANDAL: 9/11 Commissioners Bowed to Pressure to Suppress Main Motive for the 9/11 Attacks A look at reviews of "Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission" in the NYT and the Independent Institute plus a look at the book. Why I am a Terrorist According to the twisted logic recently espoused by Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, the failure to support illegal, immoral and unnecessary wars defines one as a terrorist. Let me be clear about where I stand: I know who the real terrorists are, and can name each one of them-Rumsfeld among the rest. Everywhere you go in America you see the slogan, "Support our troops." You see it on bumper stickers, storefronts, flags and banners, yellow ribbons and even in the windows of private homes. But what does it mean to support our troops? Is it to send them into harm's way; to invade and occupy sovereign nations in illegal wars for empire? Is it to ask them to commit heinous crimes, to maim and to kill innocent civilians; to torture, insult, and to humiliate people who have done us no harm? Is it to steal the natural wealth that belongs to other nations and turn it over to American corporations? Goats and Hussars: A British Harbinger of American Defeat [I]n Iraq last week,British forces abandoned their base at Abu Naji and disappeared into the desert wastes and marshes along the Iranian border. The move was largely ignored by the American media, but the implications are enormous. The UK contingent of the invading coalition has always been the proverbial canary in the mine shaft: if they can't make a go of things in what we've long been told is the "secure south," where friendly Shiites hold absolute sway, then the entire misbegotten Bush-Blair enterprise is well and truly FUBAR.Don Rumsfeld is fond of historical analogies when pontificating about Iraq; he particularly favors comparisons to the Nazi era and the Allied occupation of Germany after World War II. Unfortunately, any historian will tell you that Rummy's parallels are invariably false, even ludicrous. So we thought we'd give the beleaguered Pentagon warlord a more accurate and telling analogy to chew on. Criticize Israel? You're an Anti-Semite! - How can we have a real discussion about Mideast peace if speaking honestly about Israel is out of bounds? EVER WONDER what it's like to be a pariah? Publish something sharply critical of Israeli government policies and you'll find out. If you're lucky, you'll merely discover that you've been uninvited to some dinner parties. If you're less lucky, you'll be the subject of an all-out attack by neoconservative pundits and accused of rabid anti-Semitism. Israel plans for war with Iran and Syria THREATENED by a potentially nuclear-armed Tehran, Israel is
preparing for a possible war with both Iran and Syria, according to
Israeli political and military sources. The conflict with Hezbollah has
led to a strategic rethink in Israel. A key conclusion is that too much
attention has been paid to Palestinian militants in Gaza and the West
Bank instead of the two biggest state sponsors of terrorism in the
region, who pose a far greater danger to Israel's existence, defence
insiders say.
Signs Comment:
The sincerity with which this type of nonsense is uttered by Israeli
politician is staggering. The entire world KNOWS that Iran, like Iraq,
is no threat to anyone, unless attacked. The entire world KNOWS that
Israel is the aggressor in the Middile East and has been relentlessly
crafting a "Palestinian threat" for 50+ years. When will this
ridiculous hyperbole end? What will it take for the sane people of the
world to finally stand together and tell Israel and America, in no
uncertain terms, to take their lies and ridiculous claims elsewhere?
Time is of the essence. Note the words of Richard 'angel of death'
Perle in the above article where he says:
"If they had acted against Syria during this last kerfuffle, the war might have ended more quickly and better."To war lovers like Perle, the murder of 1300 Lebanese civilians is a "kerfuffle". Perle must be frustrated indeed that he must wait a little longer before war and bloodshed on a massive scale are unleashed on the Middle East. If you REALLY want to know what is behind Israel's War Plans and its use of the U.S. Neocons, read THIS. Iranian PM Tells The Truth: We are Not a Threat to Any Country, Including Israel Believe it, don't believe it, that's up to you. But at least
we should know what exactly he said, which is not something our US
newspapers will tell us about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech on Saturday:
Kayhan
reports that [Pers.] Ahmadinejad said, "Iran is not a threat to any
country, and is not in any way a people of intimidation and
aggression." He described Iranians as people of peace and civilization.
He said that Iran does not even pose a threat to Israel, and wants to
deal with the problem there peacefully, through elections: "Weapons
research is in no way part of Iran's program. Even with regard to the
Zionist regime, our path to a solution is elections."
Beware The Rise Of The Fourth Reich Almost beyond speech. I, am an attorney, an activist, a former Air Force Officer who served in Desert Storm, a veteran who waited more than 10 years for her VA claim, a champion of the underdog and tireless fighter, am almost without words, and I am afraid.... I do not fear for myself, though perhaps well I ought to...but I have real and palpable fear for this country, for what is left of Democracy, for the future of my children and, for the rest of the world. The War Is Lost The Pentagon's latest quarterly "progress" report to Congress on Iraq is a grim tale of a lost war. The Pentagon told Congress what Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and propaganda organs such as Fox "News" never tell the American public... Beginning of the End Today I had an opportunity to learn about a very specific type of person, or to be exact, a scientist, that probably will be (or maybe is) proud to be a part of a project that will likely result in the death of thousands, if not millions of people. "You don't see, you don't feel, and you don't look" An Israeli Combat Soldier Breaks the Silence: "We all want to think that we are immune, that we can perform an "enlightened" and civilized occupation of Palestine. We want to believe that we are the most moral army in the world. But the truth is, every time you have a case in the press about Israeli soldiers shooting Palestinians, the example is treated as if, "that's a rotten apple." If you were to send every Israeli soldier who has abused a Palestinian during his service to jail, every soldier who has served in the Occupied Territories would have to stand in line. Because you can't serve there without acting like an occupier." Al-Qaida terrorist has Jewish roots A man who starred in a video released by al-Qaida's deputy
leader Ayman al-Zawahri on Saturday, inviting Americans to convert to
Islam, has been identified as Adam Yehiye Gadahn, an American with
Jewish ancestry. According to Wikipedia, he was born Adam Pearlman on
September 1, 1978, the grandson of a prominent Jewish surgeon and the
son of musician Phil Pearlman, who converted to Christianity and
changed his named to Gadahn (apparently derived from the Biblical
figure Gideon.) He grew up in Santa Ana, California, converted to Islam
and, in 1995, posted an essay on the USC Web site describing his
conversion. According to his parents, Gadahn moved to Pakistan in 1998,
where he married an Afghani refugee. The FBI believes he attended
al-Qaida training camps in Pakistan and served as an al-Qaida
translator and English spokesman. It was the second time Gadahn has
appeared in the same video with Zawahri. In a July 7 video marking the
one-year anniversary of bombings against the London transit system,
Gadahn said no Muslim should "shed tears" for Westerners killed by
al-Qaida attacks.

More on what the troops think: An overwhelming majority of 72% of American troops serving in Iraq think the U.S. should exit the country within the next year, and more than one in four say the troops should leave immediately, a new Le Moyne College/Zogby International survey shows....While 85% said the U.S. mission is mainly "to retaliate for Saddam's role in the 9-11 attacks," 77% said they also believe the main or a major reason for the war was "to stop Saddam from protecting al Qaeda in Iraq." (Both False: Saddam had no ties to al-Qaeda, no role in 9/11) CIA Learned in '02 That Bin Laden Had No Iraq Ties, Report Says The CIA learned in late September 2002 from a high-level member of Saddam Hussein's inner circle that Iraq had no past or present contact with Osama bin Laden and that the Iraqi leader considered bin Laden an enemy of the Baghdad regime, according to a recent Senate Intelligence Committee report. Although President Bush and other senior administration officials were at that time regularly linking Hussein to al-Qaeda, the CIA's highly sensitive intelligence supporting the contrary view was apparently not passed on to the White House or senior Bush policymakers. Development Aid Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul had asked for a United Nations probe into Israel's use of cluster bombs in civilian areas of Lebanon. Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of German Jews, complained about what she terms a growing "anti-mood [sic] against Israel and the Jews" in Germany. Then what could it possibly mean when the article says: Atef, also known as Abu Hafs al-Masri, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Afghanistan in 2001, while Binalshibh was captured in Pakistan four years ago."Londonistan" Author Ignores History of US-British Created Islamic Extremism As we know, or should know, the CIA, with more than a little financial help from the corrupt Wahhabi monarchy in Saudi Arabia, poured more than $40 billion into Afghanistan to organize, train, and arm the Mujahideen, now popularly, if erroneously, known as "al-Qaeda." Pakistan's ISI micromanaged these terrorists. Additional funding came through opium production, a CIA specialty, up from 250 tons in 1982 to 2,000 tons in 1991(see the Cooperative Research timeline, citing mainstream news sources). 'Gaza is a jail. Nobody is allowed to leave. We are all starving now' Gaza is dying. The Israeli siege of the Palestinian enclave is so tight that its people are on the edge of starvation. Here on the shores of the Mediterranean a great tragedy is taking place that is being ignored because the world's attention has been diverted by wars in Lebanon and Iraq. A whole society is being destroyed. There are 1.5 million Palestinians imprisoned in the most heavily populated area in the world. Israel has stopped all trade. It has even forbidden fishermen to go far from the shore so they wade into the surf to try vainly to catch fish with hand-thrown nets. Projecting fascism Donald Rumsfeld's Aug. 29 speech to the American Legion was a real watermark for the Bush administration, since it finally made official the government's embrace of the "war critics are treasonous appeasers" theme that has been circulating in the right-wing bloodstream for the past several years. But it was also noteworthy because it became the launching pad for the administration's open embrace of the term "Islamofascism" as a way not only to describe the terrorist threat these officials use to justify every one of its monstrous policies, but to smear the good citizens whose consciences lead them to oppose those policies. As if on cue, the rest of the administration -- including Bush himself -- and their amen chorus in the pundit class began using it endlessly in media appearances, though they had actually been circulating it for some time. The tactic, beyond its mere scurrilousness, reeks of desperation, and most of the public can smell it. And some of the left-wing response -- perhaps most notably Keith Olbermann's -- has been exactly what this kind of gutter tactic deserves. Election 2006 & World War III As Americans go to the polls in two months, they should have one thought fixed in their minds: they will be voting on whether to commit the nation to fighting World War III against large segments of the world's one billion Muslims. Beyond the cost in blood and treasure, this war will mean the end of the United States as a democratic Republic. Five Years On: It's Worse Than You Think Five years on, and most people still don't have a clue as to how bad the situation really is. Sure, some of them are awake enough to consider that 9/11 was an inside job...of the Bush government. They don't want to consider Israeli involvement. MSNBC Poll - 58% Believe 9/11 Conspiracies! Out of a total of 64,219 respondents to a recent MSNBC poll on whether or not they believe claims of a US government conspiracy on 9/11, 58% answered "yes". ![]() Special Report: Bush Admits Guilt Over 9/11 At the 9/11 commemoration service last night, President George W. Bush surprised reporters by talking off the cuff and admitting that not only had he not done enough to prevent 9/11, but that the real perpetrators were actually members of a U.S. shadow government that had been controlling U.S. politics for over 100 years. Mr. Bush, who was speaking from within a human shield made up of large and bulky Secret Service agents, had decided that his Christian convictions made it necessary for him to tell the Truth after a re-watching Mel Gibson's film The Passion of the Christ. Photo Evidence From the Last Incursion into Nablus This photo series is meant to visually document some of the claims made by international human rights observers in their reporting of the crimes of the Israeli Occupation during the seige in Nablus on 26th August. These pictures were all taken by international activists throughout the day. The original press release documenting these incidents is on the ISM website. Rockefeller: Bush Duped Public On Iraq; Says World Would Be Better Without Iraq Invasion When the Senate Intelligence Committee released a declassified version of its findings this past week, the Republican chairman of the committee, Pat Roberts, left town without doing interviews, calling the report a rehash of unfounded partisan allegations. Its statements like this one, made Feb. 5, 2003, by then-Secretary of State Colin Powell that have become so controversial, implying Iraq was linked to terror attacks. "Iraq today harbors a deadly terrorist network headed by abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an associated collaborator of Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda lieutenants," Powell said. But after 2 1/2 years of reviewing pre-war intelligence behind closed doors, the lead Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Sen. John Rockefeller (D-W. Va.), who voted for the Iraq War, says the Bush administration pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. Bush confesses to war crimes George W. Bush's speech on September 6 amounted to a public confession to criminal violations of the 1996 War Crimes Act. He implicitly admitted authorizing disappearances, extrajudicial imprisonment, torture, transporting prisoners between countries and denying the International Committee of the Red Cross access to prisoners. These are all serious violations of the Geneva Conventions. The War Crimes Act makes grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and all violations of Common Article 3 punishable by fines, imprisonment or, if death results to the victim, the death penalty. Marine colonel's Iraq report fuels US gloom Iraq's biggest province has suffered a total breakdown in law and order in which al-Qaida has emerged as the dominant political force, according to descriptions of a classified US military intelligence review reported today. The report, by the US marine corps colonel Peter Devlin, focuses on the vast, arid region of Anbar in the west, which contains the insurgent-held towns of Fallujah, Ramadi and Haditha. The Washington Post quoted military officers who had seen the report as saying the area was "beyond repair". Why the Numbers Don't Add Up in Iraq In this besieged capital, it was a rare good-news story: Killings had plummeted by as much as 50% since U.S. and Iraqi forces hit the streets last month in a show of strength after the sectarian bloodbath of July. "We're actually seeing progress out there," Army Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV, the chief military spokesman here, said when making the announcement. Not so fast. Last week, Iraqi officials released new figures showing the city morgue had received more than 1,500 victims of violent death in August - a significant drop of about 17% from the record of more than 1,800 killings in July, but hardly a great leap forward. The Hariri Assassination Investigation: Are Those Who Pulled the Trigger Pulling the Strings? Jürgen Cain Külbel, born in 1956 in Berlin, graduated in Criminology, is among those honest and courageous investigative journalists who are ready to undergo great sacrifices in order to contribute to the search for truth and the respect we owe our readers. Reading his book (1), as well as his responses given here to Silvia Cattori, he clearly shows that the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri had as its objective the destabilization of the region in order to create a Middle East that conforms to the interests of the United States and Israel. Report: 307 Palestinians killed in Gaza since Shalit's Capture - 80% Were Civilians With No Link To "Terror" According to a report published by the International Federation of Human Rights, 307 Palestinians were killed by the IDF in the Gaza Strip since the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit by Palestinian gunmen on June 25. According to the report, 80 percent of the casualties were civilians with no link to terror activity. Neocon Iran Nuke Lies "Outrageous" and "Dishonest" Once again, the Bush neocons have distorted International Atomic Energy Agency findings, as is their habit. "U.N. inspectors have protested to the U.S. government and a Congressional committee about a report on Iran's nuclear work, calling parts of it 'outrageous and dishonest,' according to a letter obtained by Reuters," a characterization in keeping with the Straussian neocon philosophy of lies and dissimulation. The Beast Of The Middle East In the map below if Palestine was a human body, Israel would be a Cancer and a kind of Tumor that spread itself through that body . This would not have happened unless with the help of the west ( England , Europe and the United States of America .) ![]() Sabra and Shatila: The unforgettable, unforgivable, Israeli massacre against Palestinians - 1982 ![]() This album is powered by BubbleShare - Add to my blog On the morning of Saturday, September 18th, 1982, reporters entering the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila near Beirut, Lebanon, were met with a ghastly sight. Piles of bodies littered the dusty streets of the camps, mass graves had been hastily constructed and buildings had been bulldozed over corpses. The slaughtered were old men, women, and children. A massacre had taken place here. The estimated death toll were in thousands. The American Military's Cult of Cruelty In the week that George Bush took to fantasising that his blood-soaked "war on terror" would lead the 21st century into a "shining age of human liberty" I went through my mail bag to find a frightening letter addressed to me by an American veteran whose son is serving as a lieutenant colonel and medical doctor with US forces in Baghdad. Put simply, my American friend believes the change of military creed under the Bush administration--from that of "soldier" to that of "warrior"--is encouraging American troops to commit atrocities. Sarko and the "al-Qaeda" Wannabe Threat In
order to justify repressive "anti-terrorism" legislation, various scary
miscreants are required, never mind if they lack persuasiveness. For
instance, in France, a recently enacted "law facilitates the
surveillance of communications allowing the police to obtain
communication data from telephone operators, Internet Services
Providers, Internet cafes," according to European
Digital Rights. I'm standing down so I can speak the truth I am profoundly ashamed of the Government. The Labour Party has lost its way. I have been thinking long and hard about whether to contest the next election as a Labour candidate and decided that I will not. For me it is a big decision. I have given my adult life to the Labour Party as the best way I could see of increasing social justice at home and abroad. I have enjoyed the 23 years' service to my constituents, my work in the House of Commons to resist the destructive policies of the Thatcher years, which hurt so many people. I served for 10 years on the National Executive Committee, working with Neil Kinnock and then John Smith, to ready the party for power. I was deeply honoured to serve as the Secretary of State for International Development which demonstrates how extra money, clarity of purpose and high morale can lead to excellence in public service, and to work with my officials to establish the new Department for International Development. Israel Is An Apartheid State Says Largest Manufacturing Union In UK Trade unions in Britain must unite to defeat the injustices being committed against Palestinians, Amicus has demanded. "Israel is an apartheid state. It treats Palestinians like second class citizens," Sulayman Munir told the TUC in Brighton. He said unions must support a motion calling for Palestinians to be given political legitimacy, for the withdrawal of Israeli troops from all occupied territories, and for the removal of the "apartheid wall". He urged trade unions to use boycotts to get their point across, adding: "This is a climate of fear made by the war on terror.... It has been promoted by Tony Blair and funded by Gordon Brown. "When we are under attack we must stand together. Above all we are human beings." He added that the purpose of trade unions was to "give voice to a voiceless", and they must use this to liberate Palestine from Israel, which had "rights and laws based on race which enshrine injustices" The Dream Philosophy of Paranoids - Kill Arabs, Cry Anti-Semitism A central thesis of my book Beyond Chutzpah is that whenever Israel faces a public relations debacle its apologists sound the alarm that a "new anti-Semitism" is upon us. (The report's statement that "we received no evidence of the accusation of anti-Semitism being misused by mainstream British Jewish community organizations and leaders" perhaps speaks more to the selection of the witnesses than the reality.) Popular resistance from Caracas to Cairo The struggle for justice and prosperity in the Arab world and everywhere depends upon popular resistance to US imperialism and its local clients. "Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!" reads the eponymous statue's inscription in Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem Ozymandias. But it is the boastful tyrant's monument, not the self-confidence of his enemies, that lies splintered in the sands. Five years on from the atrocities of 11 September 2001, George W Bush and the neo-conservatives have managed to turn much of Afghanistan and Iraq into desolation, full of now lifeless things. Amid this carnage lies another, unlamented casualty -- the colossal wreck of US and British foreign policy. The authors of that wreckage cannot conceivably claim they were not warned of the calamities they would unleash. Soros Slams Terror 'War,' Compares White House to Nazis Billionaire philanthropist George Soros compared the Bush administration to socialist and communist regimes Thursday while criticizing America's war on terror. The liberal political activist said the U.S. strategy of fighting a "war" against terrorism is "false" and a "dismal and disheartening situation." Critics say Soros is only trying to hurt Republicans' chances in the November elections and warn that he is undermining efforts to protect Americans from terrorists. Soros told an audience at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, "We are working with a very false frame when we talk about a 'war on terror,' and yet it is universally accepted. Imperialism 101 - The US Addiction to War, Mayhem and Madness - Part I The US-led aggression in the Middle East and the three failed attempts to oust Venezuela's Hugo Chavez since 2002 (with a fourth now planned and likely to be implemented soon) are just the latest examples of this country's imperial agenda and the "new world order" it has in mind. The way this country now engages throughout the world isn't much different than what it's done close to home and worldwide since inception. Only the venues chosen, the scope of our aims, and the extent of our power have changed. This article in two parts gives some historical perspective and then concentrates on the imperial grand strategy of the Bush administration under which regime change is a central element. Imperialism 101 - The US Addiction to War, Mayhem and Madness - Part II Part I of this article explained that the US was always a warrior, imperial nation, building it in steps and addicted to its madness. First we took it from its original inhabitants; then we expanded it beyond our borders by seizing the half of Mexico we wanted; later we established colonies abroad; and now, our method of choice is to rule the world through compliant leaders in client states everywhere serving our interests. We began doing it gradually following WW II when we emerged as the only dominant nation left standing, unchallengeable as the world's only economic, political and military superpower. Even before the war ended, we planned to take full advantage of that indomitable status once it did. We pursued it throughout the "cold war" and in the 1990s when it was over. Then came 9/11, the gloves came off in the Bush administration, and top officials in it ended any pretense of what our real aims are. The rest, as they say, is history, and the nations we target in our quest for world dominance and our own people at home pay a dreadful price. Below is a case study of our imperial madness in Iraq documenting how painful that price is. Why I hate America "Why do you hate America?" This is a remarkably easy question to provoke. One might, for instance, expose elements of this nation's brutal foreign policy. Ask a single probing question about, say, U.S. complicity in the overthrow of governments in Guatemala, Iran, or Chile and thin-skinned patriots (sic) will come out of the woodwork to defend their country's honor by accusing you of being "anti-American." Of course, this allegation might lead me to ponder how totalitarian a culture this must be to even entertain such a concept, but I'd rather employ the vaunted Arundhati defense. The incomparable Ms. Roy says: "What does the term 'anti-American' mean? Does it mean you are anti-jazz or that you're opposed to freedom of speech? That you don't delight in Toni Morrison or John Updike? That you have a quarrel with giant sequoias?" (I'm a tree hugger remember? I don't argue with sequoias.) Mutiny in America? Shades of Herman Wouk! George Bush strolled into the Rose Garden today and channeled the behavior of Captain Philip Francis Queeg as described in the Caine Mutiny. He avoided grasping for small steel balls in his coat pocket and rolling them menacingly in his hand (no clack, clack to compliment the clicks of cameras) but he did have the shrill, hysterical tirade down pat. For those not familiar with the Queeg character, consider the following traits described courtesy of Wikipedia: Queeg is assigned as captain of the U.S.S. CaineSort of like being named President by the Supreme Court--a command decision. He is initially welcomed by the crew as a tough, no-nonsense veteran, who will shape up the ship after his slovenly predecessor's departure."The New Patriotism" - The Political Junkies George Bush is the worst President the United States has ever had. Notice that I did not use the word "arguably." He simply is. For one reason. He is the first President ever to have as his primary goal the destruction of the Constitutional, Democratic, system under which he took power (notice that I did not say "elected"). This is for him the absolutely primary goal. For the nation as a whole it would obviously be an unmitigated disaster. It stands above even those of: further entrenching the power of the extractive industries and further securing their dominance over U.S. economic and environmental policy; reducing the functions of the government other than those of repression at home and military expansion abroad, to the barest minimums; and filling the pockets of his rich supporters at the expense of the public treasury. The Most 'Do-Nothing' Congress since 1948 The current Congress -- the 109th -- is set to spend the least amount of time in Washington of any Congress since 1948. The House of Representatives is projected to meet for only 99 days this session, nine days less than the Congress of 1947-48. The Senate is projected to meet for 129 days, tying the sixth fewest days a Senate session has met since 1948. View the report "The 'Do-Nothing' 109th Congress: The Days in Session for the 109th Congress Compared to Previous Congresses from 1947-2006". Banned in Washington - Where's the Free Speech? So much for free speech in the nation's capital and capitol. On July, 11, 2006 I was arrested for offering a citizen's voice in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing against the nomination of one of the Bush administration's architects of torture, William Haynes, former Department of Defense General Counsel (chief civilian lawyer) for a life-time appointment to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Yesterday, September 7, I appeared in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on charges of "Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct on the United States Capitol Grounds on July 11, 2006." During that appearance, I was ordered by the court to "Stay Away" from the US Capitol, all Senate and House Office Buildings and committee hearing rooms and the streets surrounding the Capitol area. Bush's Empty Words to the U.N. One of the most striking features of George W. Bush's presidency has been his proclivity to use soaring, idealistic rhetoric that is totally at odds with reality, a tendency that was on display again in his address to the United Nations General Assembly. Into Pyramid's Shadow: At War with Ourselves Like Taking Candy from a Baby As natural as the end of summer giving way to cooler temperatures and the changing colors of the trees, the vast machinations of the military-energy industrial complex has yet again begun to spin in preparation for the upcoming midterm elections, using the myriad number of tools at its disposal to manipulate the electorate into once more voting against its own interests, into voting for the interests of the elite few. Rise Up Against the Empire President Hugo Chavez, Address to the United Nations Representatives of the governments of the world, good morning to all of you. First of all, I would like to invite you, very respectfully, to those who have not read this book, to read it. Noam Chomsky, one of the most prestigious American and world intellectuals, Noam Chomsky, and this is one of his most recent books, 'Hegemony or Survival: The Imperialist Strategy of the United States. '" [Holds up book, waves it in front of General Assembly.] "It's an excellent book to help us understand what has been happening in the world throughout the 20th century, and what's happening now, and the greatest threat looming over our planet. Text of President Ahmadinejad's Speech at 61st UN General Assembly Meeting TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- What follows is the full text of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at the inaugural session of the 61st United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday. Howard Zinn: What the left thinks Every so often, one hears the argument that "Left and Right" are outdated terms, or that there really aren't enormous differences in the ways the Left and Right view America, the world, men and women, and just about every other important aspect of life. I wish this were true. But the gaps between the Left and Right on almost every issue that matters -- including and especially issues of good and evil -- are in fact unbridgeable. Ted Turner Says Iraq War among History's "Dumbest Moves of All Time" The U.S. invasion of Iraq was among the "dumbest moves of all time" that ranks with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor and the German invasion of Russia, billionaire philanthropist Ted Turner said on Tuesday. The founder of CNN and unabashed internationalist also defended the right of Iran to have nuclear weapons and the effectiveness of the United Nations and, in a jocular mood, advocated banning men from elective office worldwide in a Reuters Newsmaker appearance. Nothing the Americans do stops Iraq's slide into despair They have organised elections, and pushed through a new
democratically-ratified constitution that has given birth to a national
government with a true mandate. They have sent more of their own
troops, and trained the locals. They have sacrificed some 2,700 of
their servicemen and over $300bn (£1.6bn) of their taxpayers'
money. But nothing the Americans can do has stopped post-Saddam Iraq's
long slide into chaos and despair. President Bush and his top aides
still insist civil war has not broken out. That, however, is a matter
of semantics after the latest UN report that almost 6,600 people died
in sectarian violence in the last two months for which statistics are
available - an "unprecedented" 3,590 in July, followed by 3009 in
August.
